The family ward are all going out to a campsite near Salem for the annual family campout. I was in charge of dinner, so I decided to marinate tiny pieces of steaks for steak kabobs! I found a marinate sauce online, and I decided to try it out! It involves soy sauce, lemon juice, pepper, garlic, liquid smoke, and Worcestershire sauce. It smelled yummy, so hopefully it tastes good as well!
For dessert, we are going to make campfire cones! You take a waffle cone, spread peanut butter on the inside, and put in pieces of bananas and chocolate chips and marshmellows, wrap the cone in tin foil, and cook it in coals for 5-10 minutes. It sounds delicious, so I'm a bit excited!

| My very messy bedroom |
To keep me busy, I've just been watching Netflix (I have no social life), and preparing the food and such. I also decided I need to clean my room sometime soon, but I decided to take a nap and clean the gerbil cage afterword's. It's always an enjoyable experience interacting with my pet gerbils, because lately I have had a distinct love for all furry or feathery animals. My dad advised that I look into becoming a vet, which would be awesome, but the problem with that is that I would not be able to handle any surgery or blood or pee or gross stuff like that...I'd just want to play with the cute animals and hand them over to someone else when they get sick.
PS. did you know that they have Animal Rescue shelters specifically for Gerbils? And that in England they host Gerbil Shows? (similar to a cat or dog show). Methos I think is the funniest, he has gotten very plump, and when you hold him you can literally feel a fat-density difference from the other two gerbils (even though Franklin is very chubby as well). Whenever I clean their cage, I put all 3 of them in the dust bath together, but when it's time to get out Methos likes to stay in there as long as possible. I think it's because he enjoys the alone time without his brothers! Haha!
I know that I sound like a crazy gerbil lady, but these are the only pets I have owned that didn't live in a fish bowl. I've wanted a cute cuddly animal sense I was about 5, and now that I have them I am definitely Not wasting the opportunity to enjoy them as much as possible! (I just hope my little brother takes good care of them while I am off at college, otherwise I would take them with me)
